Derek Phillips, address as above
I am a freelancer (Freiberufler). I am not willing or obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
This page explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what rights you have. I keep it to the minimum I need to reply to you.
Derek Phillips, BearyFriendlyIT, Aalesunder Straße 2, 10439 Berlin, Germany. Email: derek@bearyfriendlyit.com
This website is hosted by Wix.com Ltd., Nemal Tel Aviv St. 40, Tel Aviv, Israel. When you visit, the hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the visit, so the site can be delivered securely. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (my legitimate interest in running a secure website). The European Commission has issued an adequacy decision for Israel.
When you send the contact form, the details you enter (name, company, email, phone, company size, the services you are interested in and your message) are sent to me by email through the form service Web3Forms (web3forms.com). I use them only to answer you and to prepare our intro call. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (steps before a possible contract) and Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (answering enquiries). I delete enquiries that do not lead to a working relationship after 12 months at the latest.
If you email me, I process your email address and message to reply. My email runs on Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).
The "choose a time" buttons open Google Calendar's booking page, run by Google Ireland Limited. If you book a slot, Google processes the details you enter there under its own privacy policy. Nothing is sent to Google until you click the button.
This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts and the small company logos from a Google icon service. To do this, your browser connects to Google servers, which receive your IP address. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (a consistent, readable design).
The LinkedIn buttons are plain links. LinkedIn only receives data if you click one.
If you click "Yes, that's fine" in the cookie banner, this site uses Google Analytics 4 by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to count visits and see which pages are useful. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data such as your shortened IP address, device and browser details, the pages you visit and how you arrived. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. If you click "No, thanks", Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Analytics data is deleted automatically after the retention period set in Google Analytics (14 months at most).
Your cookie choice is saved in your browser so the banner does not appear on every page. I do not use advertising tools. The hosting provider may set technically necessary cookies to deliver the site.
You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your data, to data portability, and to object to processing (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Just email me. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).
